In 1994, after two years of working in product sales into and out of Spain (import/export), I discovered a new way to connect with businesses – a more Anglo-Saxon model. This method of establishing relationships fit perfectly into the business environment in which I wanted to develop myself. A professionalised environment.

ONE CONFERENCE CHANGED MY LIFE

It was during a conference that I was a part of, organised by a US-based corporation and with around 40 other participating businesses, where I was fascinated by how they spoke to one another, how they related to each other, and how they did things. It was the perfect snapshot of professionalisation that I had dreamed of, and I said to myself: ‘This is for me’.

From Philology to Global Markets

Until that point, my background was in the world of words, languages, literature – a more humanistic education. But it was at that time I grew interested in aspects related to the business world.

At that moment, my journey into continuing professional development began – training and learning all about the business sector, finding out how to interpret all this new language that, until that point, I had never dealt with before. And the most important thing for me? Learning to connect with other geographical areas, social circles, business environments and, undoubtedly, with other markets. In short, broadening my horizons as we became an increasingly globalised world. And all of this, with the conviction that it would offer huge opportunities to our business fabric.

As the years passed, my project gradually took shape.

I took the plunge in 2012. The result of my passion for creating business opportunities in new markets paired with my certainty that I could offer ‘solutions’ in the global field, as well as my long-standing, firmly held belief that the future of business lies in professionalisation and competing in markets beyond the domestic sphere, was the foundation of TMC Trading Affairs Consultores, S.L.
